We’ve introduced several improvements to the SuperMemo API platform focused on subscription management, account administration, and usage monitoring.

New features

• SM-20 data import enhancement – added support for the forgettingIndex parameter when importing learning data using the SM-20 algorithm.
• Learner limits – introduced limits for learners (end users) based on the selected subscription plan.
• PayPal payments – PayPal is now available as a payment method.
• Subscription plans and pricing – launched updated subscription plans and self-service plan management.
• Usage wallet – new dashboard showing credit consumption, remaining balance, and estimated credit depletion date.
• Order history and subscription details – access invoices, order history, and information about your active subscription.
• Customer information form – added account billing and customer data management.

Improvements

• Rate limiting – introduced API rate limits to improve platform stability and predictable performance.
• Free plan update – usage limits for the Free plan are now calculated on a monthly basis instead of resetting daily.
• Consent management – added mandatory Terms of Service acceptance and optional marketing consent during registration and account management.

These changes provide greater transparency, improved account management, and more flexible subscription options for teams building learning products with SuperMemo API.

Support for the Forgetting Index to control retention targets was added

Early-access stage

SuperMemo API is currently in an early-access stage. At the moment:

● Free usage limits: 100 repetitions daily; 10,000 imported repetitions

● Transactions are not yet enabled

● Pricing is not available yet
